Winter Newsletter                       December 2019

From all of us at the FEU-NRMF Medical Technology International Alumni Society – our warmest greetings for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

A time to reflect on God’s ineffable blessings to all of us. 2019 has been a bountiful year for our fledgeling Society. 2020 promises to be another great year.

The 2019 Annual General Meeting was held on November 4, 2019. It has been unanimously agreed that the Society will continue all the Outreach Programs, the Scholarships and Excellence Awards. The Continuing Education Series will happen every two years in the Philippines and at every International Reunions.

Two resolutions were approved. The first resolution – whereas, a two year term of our officers may not provide enough continuity for many projects to effectively happen – it was resolved to extend the current set of officers’ term to two more years ending in 2022. The second resolution – whereas, it has been resolved to extend the tenure of current officers to two more years, on the next elections, elected officers will have a four year term.

The current members of the Board of Directors will remain.

It is with deepest sorrow to announce the passing of Paul Arnold Watkins (May 14, 1949 – November 24, 2019). He is survived by his wife Enriqueta “Tita” Ricohermoso Watkins and son Nathaniel Watkins. Memorial Services will be held on December 9 at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary.

Paul has been a regular attendee and official photographer of our Biennial International Reunions. We will miss your presence dearly. Our sincerest Condolences to Tita – one of our lifetime members and a prime mover in the works of the Society. Our prayers ….
